Flo Healthcare – Complete Mobile Cart Service for Greater Atlanta Area

We thoroughly go through our maintenance checklist and cleaning regiment on each cart. This project should better help IT Departments focus on other IT concerns as the cart support will be off loaded to ASR. Mobile Carts Selection – Computer on Wheels (COW) or Workstation on Wheels (WOW)

I have researched the criteria for selecting a Mobile Cart for Hospitals and Healthcare Systems. I have polled our local clienbts and posted questions to HIMSS too. This is the results of my findings.

My questions were: What is the criteria in selecting a Mobile Cart or RX Cart? Who drives the decision? Who has input on the decision?

The nursing staff should express their needs/feedback about Mobile Carts through representatives. The IT Departments needs to provide input as to supporting a device on the network and Biomed department gets involved (in some cases) in supporting the batteries. Now becoming more mainstream, some institutions are on their 2nd or 3rd generation of carts. History of using these carts creates a wish list for future purchases, to make the staff’s jobs easier.

On August 2, 2011, ASR celebrated its 39th year of business. We were incorporated in the State of Georgia by John E Homonek. He started the company as an electronics leasing and rental organization. I worked closely with him then and learned the business and actually learned how to do the books…manually!

The focus of the company was changed to IT in 1995. In the early days, IBM mainframes and peripherals were marketed to clients like: Emory, Watkins Motor Lines, MACY*S, Tull Metals, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Primerica, Saint Josephs, CDC, Verizon, TBS and many more.
